MAYOR
hALLMAN TO SPEAK AT ANNUAL MEETING JULY 24
(Posted 7-11-07)
Mount Pleasant Mayor Harry Hallman is scheduled to speak at the 2007 Ivy
Hall Property Owners Association Annual Meeting on Tuesday, July 24th.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Eastbridge Presbyterian Church,
located near our entrance. Hallman is expected to speak and take
questions during the first part of the meeting, so residents are urged to
arrive on time.
Hallman, 72, has been the town's mayor since September of 2000. Mt.
Pleasant's population has grown significantly during his tenure, with
much of that growth having occurred near our subdivision on the town's
northern end. Hallman is expected to talk about how the town is
accommodating all the new residents, businesses and traffic.
All Ivy Hall residents are encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting.
Much is going on in and around the neighborhood, so this is your chance
to get a firsthand status report. It's also an opportunity to ask
questions and discuss matters with board members. We will be presenting
some ideas on which we would like your input.
In addition, we will have an election to fill at least five open
seats on our nine-member board. Please consider nominating yourself
at the meeting. Serving on the board is a great way to get to know
residents and stay on top of neighborhood issues.
We look forward to your
attendance. However, if you can't attend, please fill out a proxy (POA members should
have received one in the mail or you can download a copy here in
Acrobat®
PDF)
and place it in our drop box or send it to us at Ivy Hall, c/o Odessa
Companies, 1233 Ben Sawyer Blvd., suite 200, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29464. The
form may also be faxed to 843-856-8785.
In advance of the meeting, residents are also asked to complete and
return a survey that asks for suggestions on how to improve the
neighborhood. A PDF copy of the survey may be downloaded
here. After filling it out,
please place it in our drop box or mail it to the address above. Thank
you!
